Wszystkie sektory znajdują się na terenach miejskich i nie ma szczególnych problemów z dostępem. Z właściwego parkingu dojście pieszo do dowolnego sektora zajmie nie więcej niż kilka minut.
Najpopularniejszy fort Waldersee (Lechicka / Umultowska) posiada formalnego opiekuna (Stowarzyszenie "Fort V: Powrót"). Staraj się korzystać z terenu fortu w zgodzie z zaleceniami opiekuna.
Wskazane miejsce parkingowe może ulec zmianie.
Teren fortów objęty jest programem ochrony przyrody (Natura 2000), ponieważ forty stanowią siedlisko nietoperzy. Nie budź ich i nie płosz. Szczególnie zimą, gdy hibernują.
Niestety teren fortów bywa zaśmiecany. Staraj się nie pogarszać tej sytuacji. Jeśli natkniesz się na śmieci, spróbuj zabrać je ze sobą.
