The approach trail begins from the Lyon Rock car park on the right hand side of the road towards Dinorwic from Brynrefail, although many other parking spots exist around the area. This leads to Split Rock.

Craig yr Undeb is almost impossible to miss, on the old road along the lakeside towards Llanberis from Brynrefail.
