Start from the left at the blue descent, traverse under the belly of Elephant and climb up the Blue 1. Don't use the big block under the Blue 1. Don't climb the easier roof from the right.

If you look at the Elephant rock from the front, the start is on the back left, going under the belly with a crux involving fisting the elephant going up the front of the elephant and ending on top. It's marked in circle guide book as 7B+ and I think I agree. Important notice is that it's not the "easy" roof climbing starting more on the right back side of the elephant.
