Description

🧗‍♀️
Looking for a please to learn or teach climbing in a peaceful setting? You found the perfect crag.
The climbing-style is very "staircase"-like, which makes homogeneous routes a rarity, but it almost always offers a safe stance for clipping and building your anchor. Perfect for a first experience with outdoor-climbing.

🧗‍♀️⚒
Durnal is an old quarry that has been bolted and is maintained by VSBF and KBF. It's one of the only sandstone climbing areas in Belgium.
The crag is often used by clubs for teaching groups, therefore, weekends in the season can be very busy.

👨‍👩‍👧 🧺
The cliff base is perfect, and you will find some big blocks arranged as pic-nic tables. You'll also find some bolts and anchors on blocks on the ground for practicing. On the far right end, you can find a composting toilet.
All this makes it an excellent place to enjoy a day outside with the family.

⛑👷‍♂️
Be aware:
The staircases/terraces gather a lot of rock-debris. Helmets are a must.

📚 A paper guidebook is available from the kbf webshop
