Access

Turn towards Agios Nikolaos from the B9 mountain road connecting Nicosia and Limassol. From Nicosia, turn right at the second exit for Kakopetria; from Limassol, turn left at the first exit for Kakopetria. Follow this road for 4 km. You will see a dirt road leading off to the left with signs for the Agios Nikolaos - Kannoures Trail (34.9778419, 32.8852561). Follow the dirt track for approximately 3 km until you reach a barrier and the parking area.

A car with higher clearance is recommended for this road.

Approach

Follow the road past the barrier for approximately 1 km (10-15 minutes). The slabs are located on your right on this road.

To reach the rest of the climbs, pass the slabs and then follow the trail down towards the river just before reaching the old mine. Cross to the other side of the river.

To reach the Black Rock, turn left once you reach the hiking trail. Follow the trail until you see the rock above you. Walk up the hillside to the base of the crag.

For the multipitches and upper section of sport climbing, turn right once you reach the hiking trail. Follow the path for approximately 20 meters (you'll see a large, branching strawberry tree) and then work your way up the open, rocky hillside following the visible path, which is a combination of rock steps and gravel.

The first multipitch starts from the clearly visible slab at the top of the hillside to the left of a large bulging triangular feature. To reach the second multipitch, continue for 10 meters up the path until you reach a large pine tree where you will find the bolts on the slab above.

For the sport climbs, continue up the path onto the wooden/rocky steps where you‘ll clearly see the bolts on a 3D wall. A small trail is visible up and right from this wall leading to a fixed rope for traversing across a large ledge. Here you will find the first belay stations of the multipitches and a few additional sport routes.
