This felt so hard back in the day, but today it felt V3, yay! Thanks, Rojeen, for being willing to climb it with me!

Went down easy today! Cool. IDK how I'm staying this strong while barely climbing, but I'll take it. So excited.

The topout is easier than it feels. Could use some more cleaning.

George broke the beta on this one. It still technically fits the description, but is definitely not the V6 beta. Fun though.

I wasn’t sure it was possible, but with Matt Threlfall’s broken beta, I did the thing. Yay!

Somehow a little scary even though it's not that tall. I still liked it tho.

Possibly my favorite of the day. A HUGE move, but the feet are great, so I could lock it off. Made me feel powerful.

2nd GO. Cool holds, I just wasn't strong enough to do it first go. Super fun.

One of the start holds is slightly uncomfortable, but other than that, it was perfect. Lowball and only a couple moves. Big moves, but not TOO big of moves. As per usual, Rojeen's beta was clutch.

At the end of the day and my hands were failing me, this was a desperate send. It’s always fun to find a sub-V6 compression problem.

I admit that I DID dab on a dead tree on the onsight, but I don’t believe it helped me at all. I did it again for good measure and it felt the same. Easier, I suppose, since I had the beta figured out. But I did it hilariously awkwardly both times.

I made the topout awkward.

Ooh so fun. 2nd GO. I botched the opening sequence by missing a huge jug.

I love me a hard mantle. I don’t love me a HIGH hard mantle usually, but I felt secure enough on this one unexpectedly.

The landing is weird, but the problem is pretty fun.

WAY more fun than I expected.

I sat and was like 'how TF' but then Rachel was like 'you're probably supposed to start on that hold' and pointed to a jug. So I squat started it. So fun.

It was wet and I STILL did it. Topped out with Onions Have Layers.

Minus one star because it gave me a flapper. The problems we did today were on the softer side. I love that.

Hilariously hard for the grade. Slightly lower quality rock. But I still had fun.

This seemed way too easy. I didn’t climb up the upper slab. Possibly there’s a scary AF V6 crux up there? Aaron and I both agreed on V4.

The top out felt way too scary this spring but the condies were perfect today and I felt so confident!

What a fun day at Hawk’s Nest with all the frens.

The ‘downclimb the move then re-upclimb it’ tactic was key on this one.

So close to a flash. I tried it with the obvious starting foot twice only to be completely unable to even establish on the problem. Then I did it feet first.

I originally thought this was V1 but the crux was HARD!

Aaron found me the fancy foot beta for the beginning. Sweet!

I was a little spooked topping it out. But I got a hand jam!

This boulder is so obvious that someone MUST have done it before me, but until someone tells me, I guess it's my dumpy V0 FA.

Zak did this starting way over to the side, but Rojeen and I started it the most obvious way.

V0- is the best grade. Also I did this padless so I guess I technically finally soloed the Pinnacle. Yessss

I bailed at the last second off to the left a little for the topout, then Lisa did the top straight up. Did I get the FA technically or did she? JUST scary enough to be extra fun because of it.

I did the right exit first, then the left exit. It was JUST scary enough to make it more fun somehow?

I had thought this was V5 so was disappointed to see V4 on here, but now that I’ve done it I think it’s accurate.

This one was actually LESS scary than I anticipated.

Okay, it’s POSSIBLE I’ve been on this before so it may not technically be a flash, but I think it was soaking wet last time I was at this boulder so I doubt I tried it.

Once I figured the beta out I really liked it. And it was the same difficulty for my tall friend who used different beta. Cool!

Minus one star for the landing. But it was so fun. I think easier than V5. Maybe V4? I'd believe V3 as well. Grades vary so much!

This is supposed to be V6 but there’s a key fingerlock that we must have just not known about. It may even get the downgrade to V3.

Reed and I had a fabulous day re-scrubbing some obscure classics here. This was Reed's choice and what a good choice it was.

I loved this one even though it was wet. IDK if it ever dries out (I've only been there this one time so far), but it was a fun, burly, crack climb-y boulder problem. Doable even when damp. After you add some chalk.

It's a new area, so still a little chossy, but it'll clean up nicely. This was harder than I anticipated as a warmup.

This may be one of my favorite boulder problems ever. I'm too scared (and weak) to ever do the full problem, but the jug halfway out is a satisfying finish hold for others too scared and/or weak to climb the whole "Deep Fried" problem.

Some of the feet on the right block are still chossy and need to be cleaned up, but I don’t think it’ll change the grade much. The crux is the interesting topout.

Michael told me to do this like 8 times. Turns out he was right.

It could have been a flash if I hadn’t tried it a bunch one day 9 years ago.

For some reason I had tried this but hadn't done it? Perhaps I didn't follow instructions well the first time. You're supposed to start 2/3 of the way up the boulder, though, so it really was V1. Especially after I filled in the puddle with rocks so I could use a crashpad.

I finally did this weird classic! I had so much fun. Except I didn't top it out because I got stuck up there the only other time I made it to the top of this boulder, and Micah wasn't there to literally carry me off the boulder.

Wow. We saw some chalk on this thing. It is fabulous. I did it 3-4 different ways, including the Crocodile beta in font (except over the side instead of over the front since I haven't figured out how to get my toes out there yet). This may be my new favorite boulder problem ever. No idea who did it first, but if it was you and you want to rename it, let me know!

I mantled as early as possible using Rojeen's beta for Justin's Motrcycle Gang.

I actually really loved this one.

This one may be better than Goblinshark, but it's upper holds still have a lot of mud.

I tried this in my snow boots the first day I was here, so I technically didn't flash it.

Not 3 stars because the first hold is choss and you could fall to your death. Other than that, pretty fun.

I like the right variation better only because aretes are spooky up high for some reason. And by "high" I mean the boulder is, like, 10; tall. Still, such a fun climb.

Birthday send! When you have a lowball mantle theme to the day, sometimes the exception makes the theme. This was a midball (new word) dyno. Took many goes. Pretty excited about the send.

Pretty sure I tried this forever ago and failed, so no flash.

I made us stop at some throwaway warmups because I was so psyched and they were dry. When I came down after the first one, I discovered that Dan had berm chalking up the lowest of lowballs. Who knew we shared the love of scrunchy super lowball mantles. Just behind the warmups Purple and Kelly Green on the 3’ high boulder. Easier if your short.

This was more fun than the book gives it credit for.

FINALLY got brave enough to do the last couple moves by watching and gleaning beta/bravery. I had a pretty fun day in this cave today in the rain!

Big moves between big holds, not too tall and an A/C cave for warm days. What more could you ask for?

Avoiding big moves is the story of my life. Griffin found a way for me to lock off this dyno. I’ve been throwing myself off of this thing for years. Now it’s finally almost as easy as it’s supposed to be. Almost.

This is the hardest on the wall. If the one hold didn't cut into my skin it'd also get 3 stars, but as it is, it's not a good warmup when you lose skin on it.
