Damn this is so UNREAL!!! Cannot believe that I actually did it… First tried it about 2 weeks ago and was literally not able to lift off the ground. Then a week ago my bro Giggo did the first ascent and since everything else was wet I just started giving it some tries. Over the session I gradually got closer until finally I was almost able to reach the side-pull. Today I tried it after warm-up for about an hour and got nowhere! I eventually gave up and did Carmen :D Without expectations I decided to try it some more before driving back home! To my surprise I felt incredibly strong and managed to do it on my 4th attempt almost amid tears. Very special boulder with an insanely hard first move! Huge amount of lock-off and shoulder strength required on this one! Suits me quite well!

3rd ascent! SICK problem!!! Tried it briefly a week ago when the first move felt impossible… Today I needed 30mins to figure it out! Afterwards I felt incredibly strong on the left starting hold and managed the move every time but failing to get the side-hold properly or slipping off. Took a total of 2h to finally put it to rest. Sooo happy. Had stopped believing it was possible today...

Incredibly deceiving low-ball! Looks like a 7a but…. Took me 2 hours to figure out a way to lift my ass off the ground, which I found quite hard! Then another 30mins to send it! The more or less obvious sit-start to Lisa's Arête at 8 Day Rain! Adds 3 moves to the original problem! Start with both hands on lowest undercling, move out right to a crimp and then into the starting holds of the original boulder. Incredible to do a first ascent in the Rocklands!!!

Aww man. Sooo stoked!! Surreal line & rock formation!!! Simply breathtaking. Took me a total of 14 tries spread over 8 sometimes quite short sessions due to the skin! (The boulder contains a fuckin' sharp crimp that gave me hell!!!) Injured my leg at the top part on the first day, forcing me to employ a wicked, low-percentage beta for the 2nd crux. Wasn't until the 6th session (DAMN) that I finally discovered a method which led to success... Consumed a large part of the trip cause I always had to rest at least 2 days to get my skin back into shape. The hardest but especially the most challenging & demanding problem I did so far!

Blew the flash while rushing to match the rail.... Might be the best boulder I climbed so far! How sick it must have been for Fred to stumble upon this bloc!!! Difficulty wise it does not get close to 8a+, even 8a is questionable IMO since it solely relies on a heel-hook. It'll eventually cost you some tries to suss out the proper position. Afterwards you're rewarded with awesome moves on what are probably some of the best holds in the world!!!!

This line blows my freakin' mind!! I am speechless. After the massive rain from last night I was hiking through the woods trying to find some dry boulders. Foxy Lady was literally the only one!!! I warmed up and did the topout to assure me that the holds were dry. I came down, chalked up, flashed the crimpy & shouldery 8a sequence and the next thing I know is that I am standing on top of the boulder!!! Took me a total of 5 mins... :D First 8a in a Day and practically flashed it. Can it get any better ???

Really cool experience to figure out a solution to this beast, and then finish it off with the last bits of power. Quite physical on limestone slopers and a two finger pocket. A real Franken classic!!!!! Perfect ending of my first day bouldering in the Frankenjura.
