No special access issues
Drive to the Medieval Village of Roccalbegna (GR). From Grosseto it takes about 45 minutes on a windy road.
During the off-season, you can park at the parking near the fountains and the bridge. During peak season the parking is restricted to two hours only. In this case, you can park under the bridge near the creek and add a 5-minute walk to the approach.
From the parking lot keeping the river on your right and the fountains on your back follow the path that takes you into the woods. Follow the trail leftward and check for cairns. You can see the stunning rock from the parking lot so there is no way you will miss it.
Don't forget to visit the "BAR LA ROCCA" for a coffee or a drink. The two ladies and the old guys hanging around were good and helpful when we bolted the crag.
