Description

Rammberget is a quite impressive crag but the routes are not as good as you might expect (this is not a crag you want to spend your climbing trip days on).

ASPECT AND CLIMATE
the crag is facing west and is shaded by thick spruce forest in its lower part. the routes stay wet for a long time.

THE ROUTES
The routes are between 15 and 25 m long, vertical or slabby. All routes but one are naturally protected. No lower-offs can be found on the top of the crag (except for maybe some old and dangerous looking stuff). The routes are not climbed that often and feel quite dirty.

History

The first wave of development at Rammberget took place in the beginning of 1980's.

Some new routes were added during the second half of 2010's.

Rammberget

🚗
From the exit Ullevimotet take motorway E20 eastwards. Leave the motorway at exit 80, Partillemotet (signs for Partille C/Landvetter/Sävedalen) and turn left onto Kung Göstas väg. Follow the road over a bridge and turn left at the roundabout onto Utbyvägen. At the third roundabout (after about 1 km) turn right onto Mellbyleden and then right onto Bergsjövägen (at the first roundabout). Follow the road for about 2 km and park on the right side of the road (by an entrance to an industrial area with sign “Skanska Balk- och Spontupptag Bergsjön”).
The drive is about 13 km.
🚶‍♀️
From the car park follow a path leftwards into the forest. Continue along the path until you reach a thick spruce forest. Go right through it and you should see the crag. The walk in is about 400 m.
