Black Cave 1 / 1
  • SDS on low LHS o triangular jug - Traverse right into and up the flake
  • SDS on LHS of black cave via the smooth flake
  • The  left  most  roof  line  via  some  unusual  and  technical   moves.    Due  to  some  confusion,  this  was  thought  to  be  the  next  problem  until  recently.  Another  challenge   that  only  succumbs  to  those  with  the  subtle  balance  of  power,  technique  and  body  tension.
  • From  the  low  shelf  at  the  back,  quest  out  through  the  horizontal  roof  using  under-‐ cuts,  toe  hooks  and  other  fancy  footwork.    There  are  several  different  sequences,  including  feet  first
  • This  takes  a  trip  rightwards  after  doing  the  hard  climbing  and  adds  some  tricky  moves  that  demand  endur-‐ ance
  • A  left  hand  line  through  the  roof  close  to  Red  Quinnie.    Start  as  for  Red  Quinnie  and  veer  left,  exiting  via  the   large,  obvious  sloper  on  the  lip.    A  touch  harder  than  Red  Quinnie,  this  boils  down  to  a  hard  cut  loose  that  may   be  easier  for  taller  climbers.
  • Just right of Red Quinnie climb out from the back shelf via a long reach to large sloping hold
  • The Arete on good holds BB guide Pg 59 P15
  • R-L Traverse accross the best features
