"Ice climbing is allowed at all waterfalls in the area. Rock climbing in the Korouoma area is restricted to the cliffs at the western end of the canyon. The Pirunkirkko area is out of bounds between 1st May and 31st July to avoid disturbing endangered species native to the area. "

1,5-2 hour (100km) drive from Rovaniemi.
How to get there, winter, Rosvosektori:
Parking lot on Rovaniementie with "Posio" information boards - 66.20243, 27.48779. Then ski along the road to Rosvosektori.
Winter others:
The most popular route to the ice climbing is the trail starting from the Saukkovaara parking area. Ruskeavirta can be seen on the opposing side when descending to the canyon from the parking area.
