Description

This might be the best spot for lead climbing on the Bavarian side of Inntal. It's very good limestone with blue and white streaks together with an awesome panoramic view on Kaisergebirge. You will mostly find crimps, pockets, slopers and cracks there. The routes are often overhanging and rather long (>18 m). The cliff doesn't get much traffic thus the hold surface of even popular lines offers good friction.
Especially in the central sector most routes stay dry even after 1-2 rainy days.
You can climb at Brünnstein all year. On sunny days it gets really warm at the central cliff in the afternoon.
The only downsides of Brünnstein are the lack of "easy" routes and the steep approach of about 45 minutes from the marked parking lot (check GPS map).
