2023 Wildfires Update: A catastrophic wildfire devastated Parnitha mountain in late August 2023 affecting a large number of crags in Athens including many published in 27crags application. It is possible that rock quality could be affected and route safety compromised.

By Private Vehicle:
From Attiki Odos Exit #6, follow Fylis Avenue towards Fyli / Chasia (north/west).
Follow the road for 500m until big roundabout. Take the third exit on the roundabout and continue on Fylis Avenue. 3,1km after the roundabout you will see a golden-domed church on your right hand -Panagia Kanala (ΠANAΓΙΑ ΚΑΝΑΛΑ) and a football pitch on your left. After the golden-domed Panagia Kanala church continue straight, reach the village of Fyli, and continue on, passing through it.
Just before the exit of the village drive past a small football court on your right hand and keep straight. Count 700m after the football court and shortly before reaching
“Aρχοντικόν” tavern turn left on abruptly descending dirt road. Pay attention to spot the dirt road as it is very hard to discern from the asphalt - if you reach the tavern you know you have missed it. Descend on the dirt road and continue until it gradually fades and becomes a footpath (park your vehicle on clearing 50m before the end of the dirt road).
Follow the footpath, moving parallel to the river bank. On the third time the footpath crosses the river bed (1,2km from the parking spot – faint blue signs), do not cross to the right side of the bank, but continue on the left side for a few meters and turn left to start ascending steeply (a stone cairn marks the start of the strenuous ascent).
Follow the faint footpath moving on the scree upwards till reaching the characteristic cave.
Total walking distance: 1350m, walking time: 25min, total positive altitude: 90m.
By Public Transport:
To reach the crag by public transport catch the suburban railway or bus B12 (ΑΝΩ ΛΙΟΣΙΑ – ΜΑΡΝΗ) from Attiki METRO station to reach the train station of Ano Liosia (ΑΝΩ ΛΙΟΣΙΑ). Change to bus 723 (ΑΝΩ ΛΙΟΣΙΑ ΚΥΚΛΙΚΟ – ΦΥΛΗ) just above exit #6 of Attiki Odos. The bus heads to Fyli village from where you must continue on foot in the way described above.
