This is a great late summer destination as the elevation is high enough to cool it off. It's very convenient for the climber passing through as the approach can barely be considered an approach. And as summer drags on the water in the river drops enough to do a lot of the problems as they are directly on the bank. If the water is high they are either under water or soaked by the splashes of it cascading down the rocks. It is possible to cross the river and go up the hillside to more climbing in late July and early August. This is a bit of a difficult place for small children as most of the climbing is right on the river and it can be dangerous, or it can be a haven as they could play in the water as you climb if they are old enough. The rock type () tends to either form steep climbing on sloppy crimps or dead vertical technical climbing.
