Description

Verucchio is a small but nice crag just under under the “Pieve Romanica” of Verucchio city.
It offers 19 routes from 6a to 7c. The climbing style is mainly technical and requires high finger strength on small crimpers and pockets (some holds are chipped). The wall is generally vertical, composed of a white limestone.
The equipment is good and the name of the routes is written in the first meters of the wall.
The walking approach is very short and easy and the crag base is comfortable.

If you are spending your holiday close to Rimini and your fingers are asking you to touch some rock, drive to Verucchio and enjoy its beautiful lines. After the climb, do not forget to visit the nice “Pieve Romanica” over the crag.

History

Verucchio crag was discovered and equipped by Giovanni Renzi.
The “Pieve Romanica” is a complex of building rising on a hill shaded by olive trees. The architecture is Romanesque-Gothic and the constructions date back to the year 990.
