Description

Verdes is a beautiful crag situated in the middle of a forest close to a sanctuary. Here you can climb in peace with beautiful views and nature.

Many of the routes are very enjoyable and the rock is featured especially with edges and cracks, but you'll find all kinds of holds here. The wall is mainly vertical with some slab and overhanging sections.

The short path up to the crag from the walking road is steep so it's not the best crag to be with kids. The ground around the wall is rather flat and quite wide though.

Due to the orientation and lack of shade on the crag, the best time to visit is autumn and spring. During the summers morning is your best choice and as the rock gets a nice amount of sun in the afternoons, even colder days are pleasant here. The belayer needs to be in shade for some of the routes though.

History

Verdes was developed by Carlo Zottele and Giuseppe Antonelli and their friends from 2007 onwards, with the support of Trentino Alpine Society and others.
