Bavona Valley, which branches off from the Maggia Valley, is characterized by its wilderness. The magic of nature combined with the work of mankind has bestowed peace and harmony to this valley, one of Ticino’s most beautiful. Consisting of extremely high cliffs and remains of colossal landslides it is also one of the steepest and rockiest valleys of the entire Alpine region.
There is enormous potential in the valley, especially for bouldering. There are also good sport climbing areas and long alpine routes.
Help us conserve this area by following a few simple rules.
- Take your trash home.
- If you go to the bathroom to urinate or defecate, pick up the paper and leave no trace.
- Support the local economy by shopping locally.
- Be nice to the locals if you boulder on private land.
- Clean up excess magnesium and wipe off marks.
- Don't park on private land.
- Do not play loud music. Let's respect those who want to enjoy the sounds of nature.
- If you want to open new roads and lines, make sure they are not on private land. If so, ask the locals.
