Val Pontirone

The area is access sensitive!

Drive from Malvaglia in the Val Pontirone Valley. Pass the village Pontirone (with a nice Grotto) and continue the narrow street to Fontana / Biborgh. Drive down to the bottom of the valley again and continue the partly unpaved street up to the parking (1h drive from Malvaglia).
Follow the jeep-road down and up for around 800 m until a meadow opens on the right. Hike up for another 5' to see the Cubo (15' from the parking).
The alp is an open cattle ranch in summer - don't block the jeep road and be nice to the cows. Don't approach cows with a calf.
