Description

This crag is composed by a nice grey rocky belt very close to Algone creek and at the entrance of Algone valley.
Val d’Algone offers mainly routes from 6a to 7a and all of them are beautiful. The wall is vertical with some overhangs and roofs and the shapes of the rock are beautiful: huge holes make the climbing very entertaining.
The crag base is comfortable and kids can also enjoy playing on the creek.
The routes are well bolted, but pay attention on some routes on the extreme right, which unfortunately have rusty nails caused by the particular exposure to water infiltration. The topo indicates the eventually dangerous routes.
The area, thanks also to the creek, is pretty fresh also during summer. If it rains for many days in a row, the routes could get wet.

If you visit the crag remember to drive till the end of the valley and enjoy the beautiful dolomitic landscapes of Brenta natural park.

History

The crag was bolted by F. Scandolari and D. Salvaterra.
