Description

🚶‍♂️ 1' - ⛰️ 220 MSL - 🧭 N/E/S/W - ☀️ all day

Usciolu is an interesting boulder area on the top of a small hill, 15 minutes away from the beautiful beaches of Porto Vecchio.
Actually there are ten boulders with about 20 lines from 3 to 6B. Climbing requires good skills with edges, slopers and pockets.
Some boulders are really interesting on good granite and have nice shapes.
The area is peaceful, away from the crowd, and generally is quite windy. Thanks to this factor and the good grip of the granite, you will find great conditions also during Summer.
The approach cannot be shorter, as the first boulders are ten meters away from the road.

To better appreciate the climbing, try to have the least possible impact on the territory. Wild camping is forbidden, do not make fires, take back all your garbage, do not spoil the vegetation.
Respect places and people who live here.

History

The spot was discovered by Cédric André and Laurent de la Fouchardière. The potential for new lines is really impressive.
