No special access issues
Find parking near the small chapel above Mystras and Parori (37.061332, 22.378820). Note that the gates are now permanently closed because the site was being disrespected. From the sharp right turn in the road, follow the blue-marked path (marked with a sector sign) that runs along the cliff’s edge until you reach the abseil station.
To get back up to the parking area after climbing, you have three options:
Option 1 (Recommended): Bring an extra 50m rope and leave it fixed for the day. There are numerous metal steps to assist your ascent. On the way down the fixed line, we recommend clipping a quickdraw here and there to stay close to the wall.
Option 2 (Single Rope): If you only have one rope, you can abseil in two stages using the intermediate anchor. At the end of the day, you can climb out via the metal steps as a multi-pitch, as bolts and hangers are already in place for protection.
Option 3 (Walking): Take a longer detour following the blue dots further into the canyon, which involves a smaller via ferrata section.
