The area has a few boulders worth climbing in a bigger scree below the north west slopes of Steigtinden. The rock quality is mediocre but the established lines climbs well. It is possible to put up a few more lines in the area a bit further east.
It takes 40-45 minutes to walk there, in easy but ascending terrain that follows a trodden path most of the way. Once there you're treated to calm and beautiful surroundings. It's a little faster to walk out as it is down hill and takes about 40 minutes. If possible it is recommended to bring a bike to cut the trip down to 30-35 minutes as you can bike the first part on the gravel road in and out.
The landings are not to bad but two crashpads will come in handy.
It is not an especially easy place to bring kids, but if they are used to longer walks it should be fine, and it's pretty safe to play around the boulders for kids of 6+ years
