Description

This is currently one of the most documented sectors in the area, and is littered with awesome boulders.

There are an abundance of boulders for everyone to try up to 7a, with a lot of potential for harder climbs to be opened too.

History

The sector gets its name of the big rock that lies halfway op the hill that looks like a bread; and therefore the boulder got named ‘the bread’ and the area ‘the bakery’. The bakery is one of the first sectors of oukaimeden being really developed. This started by Imiksimik in 2014. The first established boulder that is documented is ‘kort lontje’. Afterwards in 2015 a group of Belgium’s put up many first ascents to give the sector a good impuls. It is also being used for military training since early 90’s. For that reason you see some ankers on top of the ‘Moroccan melon patch’ boulder.

The Bakery
