Description

If you are driving towards Trento (and you are a climbing addict), you cannot fail to notice the perfect straight walls that overlook the valley of Terlago. Obviously they have been enhanced by the local climbers, who have given life to the beautiful crag of Terlago.
There are two sectors with similar features: compact straight walls of limestone with crimps and small pockets. The routes are vertical or slightly overhanging and require a lot of finger strength and technique. Difficulties are concentrated around 7b/8a. There are also some warm up routes, but do not underestimate them!
The approach is a bit long but not hard, the equipment is good.

Terlago is one of the best winter crags in the area of Arco. Routes are demanding but really beautiful! The landscape over the valley and mount Bondone is nice.

History

Terlago takes a great part in the history of Arco. It was discovered and equipped by Danilo Bonvecchio, Roberto Bassi, Rolando Larcher, E. Bettega, O. Celva and other strong climbers.
The hard line Thin Ice was first ascended by Nicolas Favresse in 2008, then climbed by Maurizio Zanolla (Manolo), Riccardo Scarian and Gianguido Dalfovo.
