Description

Tassilandia is a nice crag in the middle of a long rocky belt facing Garda lake, located at over 700 meters above sea level.
The walls of the sectors are mainly grey and vertical, but there are also some overhangs and yellow sections. The climbing style is technical and fingery, on crimpers and huge amounts of small pockets.
The total amount exceeds the 50 routes and the difficulties go from 5c to 8b+/c. There are also many projects that can be freely tried.
The crag base is generally ok but not children friendly. The equipment is quite new and set up properly.

Tassilandia is one of the newest masterpieces of Arco. It is perfect during the winter when the sun shines and offers a fantastic landscape over lake Garda. Close to the car park there is a beautiful restaurant called “Maso Naranch”. It absolutely deserves a visit!

History

Tassilandia was discovered and mainly bolted by Domenico Tonelli, owner of the RockService shop (climbing shoes resoling). Alessandro Bescapè and Stefano Angelini also took part in the work.
