Tal der Könige is the perfect crag for summer bouldering. While it is always very hot in the sun, the conditions in the shade are still great. Some blocks will be in the shade throughout the day, some others are in the sun at times. The sun sets at around 3 pm depending on the time of the year. After the sun is down, it can get cold (even in summer) as the river Malta brings cold air from the mountain into the valley. The blocks in Tal der Könige are directly beside the river. On hot day, take advantage of the cool refreshing water. The area at 1500 m is beautiful and offers great views into the alpine panorama.
