Description

Sectors near the main road to the village of Súľov – Hradná are popular for their easily accessible climbing. The routes in the Vinice sector remain in the shade almost all day, making them ideal for climbing even on hot days. The Mních sector, with its iconic and photogenic climbing routes leading to the very top, is a real gem.

🧗‍♀️ MNICH
This majestic rock spire towers over the road, instantly capturing the attention of all who pass by. It can only be reached by a couple of traditional routes, the most famous of which is the iconic Jambalatora.

🧗‍♀️ VINICE
Situated near the road to Súľov – Hradná, Vinice is an easily accessible sector. Its first, larger portion, is located behind the creek. It faces northeast and remains in the shade almost all day. This part offers mainly easier routes, but more experienced climbers will also find a challenge in the right part, in Disneyland and Dach. The second, smaller part of the sector is located near the Súľovčanka hut and is south-facing.

History

History in this area was 'written' in the Mních sector by climbing an old route—most likely to reach the beautiful view from the top.

Parking is available in the paid parking lot near these sectors.

🚶‍♂️ MNICH
(climbing allowed from 1.7. to 31.12.!!!)
From the parking lot, head towards Jablonové, around the bend and past the bus stop. To reach route no. 1 and projects, scramble up the overgrown gully to the southeast past the spire, until you reach a saddle where the route starts. To get to other routes (projects), head up the steep slope until you reach a small rock tower.

🚶‍♂️ VINICE
Approach to the section behind the creek: From the parking lot, head back towards Jablonové. At the crossroads with the red tourist trail, cross the bridge over the creek and take the path right below the crag.
Approach to the part by the Súľovčanka hut: The crag is located on private land and accessible only when the hut is open for refreshment. It is directly next to the road, in the direction of Súľov – Hradná, on the left side.
