No special access issues
Located just north of Strömby about 8 minutes drive south from Påryd and 30 minutes from Kalmar.
🚘 Kalmar to Påryd: Drive E22 south west in the direction of Malmö/Karlskrona. After about 11 km take the exit towards Påryd/Tvärskog, take the third exit in the roundabout towards Påryd and follow road 520 until you reach Påryd.
🚘 Påryd to the parking: Drive through Påryd and take a left turn towards Torsås. In the next intersection turn left towards Strömby and continue for 6 kilometers.
🅿️ There is a forest road on the right side of the road where you can park. Be sure to park where you don't block access for other vehicles (the road may be used by large machinery).
🚶🏽♀️ The walk to the boulders is about 400 meters from the main road. First follow the forest road 130 meters to the first bend. Exit to the left and follow the side of the forest. Jump over the small creek and continue to walk on the clear cut following the forest edge. After about 100 meters on the small hill enter the forest and continue south for another 80 meters to the two boulders. See trail on the map 🗺️.
🚶🏽♀️ An alternative approach route of equal length is to follow the main road to the first meeting spot sign, where you exit the road to the right. Walk through the trees (can be boggy) and the clearing up the small hill then turn right and walk towards the boulders.
To prevent access issues please:
• Follow "Allemansrätten". Be very careful to not hurt tree plants or other sensitive vegetation.
• Drive carefully and park where you don't block access for other vehicles.
• Do not litter.
• Keep a low profile.
• Remove tick marks and excessive chalk on holds.
• Be observant of any hunting in the area. If there is hunting going on then do not climb. Avoid the area during the first week(s) of elk hunting season which starts October 8.
