Stolac – Mostar’s Local City Crag
Stolac is Mostar’s easiest-access crag, just minutes from the Old Town and visible from almost anywhere in the city. A short drive and a few switchback curves take you to shady north-facing limestone full of slopey features, crimps, and beautiful natural lines.
This is the birthplace of climbing in Mostar, first developed by local pioneers from ASPK Neretva with the initiative of Salih Mulaosmanović, and recently expanded by the Fortica Adventure Park crew. Expect a small but charming selection of easier sport routes, plus two friendly multipitches—perfect for beginners, guided groups, or a relaxed day out.
Thanks to its orientation, Stolac stays in the shade until around 3 p.m. and often catches a refreshing mountain breeze, making it one of the better summer (morning) options around Mostar.
Wear a helmet—some sections still see little traffic.
After climbing, the nearby Fortica Skywalk offers epic views, a café, a restaurant, and the famous zipline.
