The crag consists of a continuous wall that reaches about 20 meters at its highest point. The rock quality is good, and the wall dries quickly after rainfall.

Climbers have been visiting Sperrebotn since the 1950s, but it's unknown what was actually climbed at that time. The crag was rediscovered in the late 1980s by Geir Olsen and Øyvind Martinsen.
