The area is access sensitive!

Special rules for Sihla Crag: - Behave yourselves as the land where the boulders are belongs to Sihla Monastery and is considered holy; NO YELLING, NO SWEARING, NO LOUD MUSIC!
- Leave no trace behind! Keep the area clean and take your trash with you;
- Don’t leave your valuables in the car! There have been break-ins. The trash you will see in the forest is from cars that have been broken in by local thieves or left by parishioners;

Access is via a maintained forest road that connects the village of Agapia, respectively the Agapia Monastery, to the Sihăstria and Secu Monasteries. About halfway along the forest road is the Sihla Monastery.
Access ways:
• Piatra-Neamţ – Agapia Monastery (DN15C, DN15F – paved roads – approx. 47km ~ 45min.) – Sihla Hermitage (maintained forest road – 8km ~ 25min.) – in total: 55km ~ 1h10min;
• Târgu Neamţ – Secu Monastery (DN15B – paved road approx. 20km ~ 25min.) – Sihla Hermitage (maintained forest road – 10km and 25min.) – in total 30km ~ 50min.
• Târgu Neamţ – Agapia Monastery (DN15C, DN15F – paved roads – approx. 13km ~ 15min.) – Sihla Hermitage (maintained forest road - 8km ~ 25min.) – in total 21km ~ 40min.
There is logging in the area, so sometimes the Agapia Monastery - Sihla Monastery forest road can be difficult to travel or even inaccessible. This fact is also influenced by a long rainy season. Thus, we recommend that you come with cars that have a higher ground clearance and, if necessary, choose the Secu Monastery - Sihla Monastery access road.
