Scivolo delle Marocche is a great place for beginner and young climbers to experience multi-pitch climbing with stunning views of Lake Garda. This peaceful area is home to this triangular slab just above Torbole that stretches 150 meters.
The rock is a beautiful, compact gray limestone. There may be some brush along the way, but the climbing is easy on all pitches. In some cases, you can simply walk up the steep wall instead of climbing. To better appreciate your climbing adventure in total safety, we suggest to wear an helmet.
The routes are protected with bolts, but they are spaced quite far apart and it is not possible to add more protection due to the compact nature of the wall. These routes can get very wet if it rains a lot, and the first route to dry out is "Peler."
All routes lead to a shared exit route called "Vento di Ponale L7." Be careful on this pitch, as the rock can be a bit brittle. At the end of this pitch, head to the electric truss and take the left path (north) downhill to the base. The descent takes about 10 minutes.
You can climb here year-round, but we suggest avoiding the slabs in the summer afternoon unless you want to be cooked like an egg.
The approach is short, only 10 minutes, along the famous Busatte-Tempesta path. This is a beautiful and easy path that runs from Busatte to Tempesta (a group of houses on the lakeshore) on the eastern slopes of Lake Garda. It is one of the most popular paths in the area due to its stunning scenery. The path runs along the steep slope above the lake, through the debris of the Marocche of Busatte and the Mediterranean vegetation. Along the way to Tempesta, there are two large iron staircases with a total of 400 steps. The views are breathtaking along the entire path.
When you arrive in Tempesta, you can return by taking an alternative path above the main one or by taking the bus back to Torbole.
This place is beautiful and the Busatte park is great to spend a relaxing day with the family.
