Description

Sanderland is a nice vertical wall facing the beautiful Tenno lake. It offers about 20 routes from 7a to 8b, all of them requiring high finger strength. All the pitches are long, so 70 to 80 meters ropes are necessary. The rock is compact and well bolted.
The crag base is quite uncomfortable on a ledge, but fixed ropes and a fence were set up by the equippers.

The landscape from Sanderland is wonderful. Tenno lake is one of the most fascinating lakes of Trentino and it is impossible not to have a swim after climbing during Summer.

History

Sanderland was mainly bolted by S. Donati, helped by other local climbers. The hardest route, Crystal Planet, was freed by Paolo Benvenuti in 2011.
