Description

Sakshuhta is a compact crag of two totally different boulders with nice short approach. Lutakko -boulder is a relatively low boulder, still offering some really nice routes on relatively good rock quality, while Iso-Jorma is a tall boulder with beautiful high lines of technical, mostly vertical and slabby problems on smooth rock.

Lutakko -boulder is partially shady, but the forest isn't very dense, so it offers some shades for the warmer days as well, but still dries relatively quickly.

Iso-Jorma is more in the open, thus it dries quickly. Being a tall boulder it still offers some good bouldering for sunny days as well on its shady side.

Mostly people come here to climb Lutakko -boulders harder problems Elvis Juice, Sekaisin Shaahista and 50 Shades Of Grade. And those 3 are well worth coming over for a session. But it is highly recommended to check the high problems of Iso-Jorma as well! If you're scared of heights, you might still want to see its majestic figures :)

History

Sakshuhta is another success of Kimmos recovery scouting trips after his ankle injury in 2018, the other one was Koiramäki. After finding Koiramäki -boulders he took a better look at the topographical maps, aerial pictures and his crystal ball and got pretty sure that the forests near Koiramäki would be worth another trip or two. And his hunch turned out to be spot on!

So it was time to fill His trustworthy Subaru - or Subbe as he calls it - with the equipment needed and start working soon after finding the boulders. Being recovered enough He climbed all that he could and asked some of his buddies to join the party. So the majority of the easier ones on Lutakko -boulder were climbed and right after "50 Shades of Grade" and "Sekaisin Shaahista" by the man himself. Right after Vesa Mäkinen made the FA for the hardest test piece of the boulder "Elvis Juice".

Since then Sakshuhta has been relatively popular crag, despite the fact that there aren't too many routes there. But the quality is pretty good and the surroundings are nice, so we sure hope the place will see a lot of good sends in the future as well.
