Description

Rupa – Steep Powerhouse Above Mostar

Rupa is a must-visit for climbers who love steep, pumpy limestone and big moves on perfect grey tufas. Hidden in the Svabinjski do canyon between Mostar and Blagaj, this cave-like wall offers pure power-endurance climbing with striking features and beautiful tufa lines.

The first routes were bolted by ASPK Neretva and Salih Mulaosmanović back in 2009—an early effort that required hauling a generator to the crag for every bolt. Today, the sector hosts a small selection of intense, athletic routes, mainly in the mid to hard grades.

Expect long, continuous climbing on solid tufa systems, with only a few easier lines on the sides. Rupa’s aspect keeps it mostly in the shade, making it a great choice even on warm days.

Perfect for: strong climbers, endurance lovers, and anyone seeking one of the most impressive steep walls in the Mostar–Blagaj area.
Beware: The routes didn't get much traffic, so be careful, wear your helmets, and contact SPK Blagaj or ASPK Neretva for any further questions!
