The south-east facing main sector is good climbable on sunny winter days as well as in spring or autumn when leaves are covering the crag. Summertime can get quite hot though the sector hides in shade around afternoon. The opposite sectors "Schlossbergwände" and "Mäusewand" are hidden in the forrest and facing north. Climbing is reccomended on warmer days.

"Mäusewand" and "Schlossbergwände" you better avoid when it's wet. "Ringlerwand" is much better. That sector stays dray while raining. Only the close river can benefits humidity in late afternoon.

All sectors are quite short and powerful. The grades at "Mäusewand" and "Schlossbergwände" are moderate but due to it's remoteness you might be alone here. At "Ringlerwand" grades getting higer. Climbing is predominantly slightley overhanging on pockets and slopers.

"Ringlerwand's" short access and flat crag base is perfect for kids.

East or better, if you like silence, up the hill at the big camping towards weidmannsgesees on the left. Further ones you'll find in Tüchersfeld, Behringersmühle and Pottenstein.
