No special access issues
There are some routes that reach or even exceed 40m, so it is strongly recommended to use ropes with the longest possible length (80 or even 100m) and always make a knot at the end of them. There have already been accidents of this kind, so we have to prevent them from happening again. Use exclusively the parking at the recreational area. Any other parking is totally prohibited. The recreational area has a shelter, toilets and a fountain and it also allows camping with authorization. The information and reservation telephones are 012 and 96 386 60 00.
How to reach the parking:
From Alicante: From the A-7, take the exit to Agost CV-820 and follow the signs until you reach the town. Once there, continue through the town center through the CV-827 El Maigmó/Alcoy, and after 600 meters turn left towards Monforte street following the indications of Palomaret. From here, follow the main road for about 7 kms, always following the indications of Palomaret (you have to cross a narrow and long bridge halfway). After reaching a peculiar area with a big number of crossings which do not make much sense, follow the road always on the left, and only at the last junction, take the branch on the right (the road on the left ends a few meters ahead). After 1.6 km, you will arrive to the parking of the recreational area.
From Murcia: From the A-7 drive towards Madrid via the A-31. Take exit 218 Monforte del Cid / Agost and follow the signs until you reach Agost. Once there, continue straight ahead at the first roundabout into the urban center and then you will get to a second roundabout where you will take the exit CV-827 El Maigmó / Alcoy. From here, follow the same indications as from Alicante.
Approach:
From the car park, walk 450 meters along the road southwards. Then, just before a curve, turn left and take an obvious path. After 140 meters, take the detour to the right and follow it until you reach the walls.
