Located in Val di Rhêmes, one of the picturesque side valleys of the Aosta Valley and part of the Gran Paradiso National Park, this small but scenic crag offers an enjoyable climbing experience with breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine landscape.
The wall at Rhêmes-Notre-Dame features 11 routes, with grades ranging from 4c to 7b. The left side hosts the easier lines, while the right side presents more sustained pitches, some of which are slightly overhanging.
The approach is easy and short, and the base of the wall is comfortable, making it accessible and family-friendly.
Thanks to its location at around 1800 meters above sea level, this crag benefits from cooler temperatures, making it an excellent summer destination for climbers looking to escape the valley heat.
Don’t miss the Via Ferrata Casimiro, a beginner-friendly via ferrata with suspension bridges that forms a pleasant loop from the villages of Chanavey or Bruil. It’s a fun activity to complement your climbing day in the area.

Situata in Val di Rhêmes, una delle pittoresche valli laterali della Valle d'Aosta e parte del Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso, questa piccola ma suggestiva falesia offre un'esperienza di arrampicata piacevole con viste mozzafiato sul paesaggio alpino circostante.
La parete a Rhêmes-Notre-Dame raggruppa 11 vie, con gradi che vanno dal 4c al 7b. Il lato sinistro ospita le linee più facili, mentre il lato destro presenta tiri più sostenuti, alcuni dei quali sono leggermente strapiombanti.
L'avvicinamento è facile e breve e la base della parete è comoda, rendendola accessibile e adatta alle famiglie. Grazie alla sua posizione a circa 1800 metri sul livello del mare, questa falesia beneficia di temperature più fresche, il che la rende un'ottima destinazione estiva per gli arrampicatori che cercano di sfuggire al caldo della valle.
