Description

Ramberget is situated high above Gothenburg. Once upon a time people were sacrificed to the gods here (at least if you believe in the legend) but now there is only an outlook here with a wonderful view over Gothenburg. The climbing at Ramberget is not that good but if you want to get a good view of the city you could come here during a rest day.

ASPECT AND CLIMATE
The two crags are facing south and southwest and are not in the shade. Because of all the water that comes from the top of the hill the routes may stay wet for long time after rain.

THE ROUTES
The routes are about 10-15 m long, vertical or slabby. Most of the routes are trad ones. The few mixed routes in the area were bolted about 20 years ago and the bolts condition might not be that good. One or two lower-offs can be found in the area (also these are a bit “ancient”).

History

Sectors Stora plattan and Svarta väggen were developed in the middle of 1980’s (with some recent, around 2020, additions).

Sector Lavasten is much younger with routes done during 2010’s.
