Beside the south facing "Hohe Nase" which is good for sunny winter days all other sectors are typical summer spots.

"Hohe Nase" dries quite fast. All other sectors take ages to dry. Especially "Zerplatztes Alien" offers some ever wet guck at the base which only dries in dry summers.
💪⚙️
mid long and quite steep are the routes with it's perfect pockets on all summer sectors. Climbing is very powerful. Sector "Zerplatztes Alien" shows an impressive overhang with a good line.
Only "Hohe Nase" is way different. About three times higher and not that steep than the other sectors this spot offers some old school face climbs and even some pre old school aid routes. A must go for alpine lovers.

The only sector which is suitable for kids is "Hohe Nase". But aware of rock falls! the rock is quite fragile often.

Accommodation you'll find directly in "Pottenstein", next camping is "Camping Bärenschlucht" or "Camping Fränkische Schweiz" further down the river towards "Behringersmühle".
Furthermore there are several cafés, taverns and supermarkets in Pottenstein.

At Pottenstein you'll find any sort of activity for resting days, like the famous natural swimming pool, a summer toboggan run, many caves and much more.
