Description

Island of Hvar is one of the most beautiful and sunniest islands of the Croatian coast, with the typical Mediterranean climate. Here you can find a number of coves surrounded with crags appropriate for climbing. Some of them are already equipped for climbing, and the crag in the cove Pokrivenik is a newborn climbing site. It is a small, beautiful cove completely surrounded by cliffs built of a superb quality rock. Routes that are bolted are just the beginning; the potential for new routes is huge. The cliff face offers experience in vertical slabs with small sharp holds and in overhangs with tufas. There is enough space for hard routes – not yet utilized. Due to a diverse orientation of walls, the crag is appropriate for climbing in all seasons. Even in hot summer days, early in morning and later afternoon, with a touch of a breeze, climbing here may be a pleasant experience. An additional summer-time benefit is a beautiful beach beneath the crag. There is a small family camp and a tavern in the vicinity. Would you need anything more?
Accomodation: Camp Ivan (http://www.kamp-fistonic.hr/).
