Description

Piruntädinkallio is a demanding sport climbing crag with technical routes mostly on vertical, fast drying granite walls with the addition of a few routes with a tough roof start. The intriguing and rugged cliff can be seen from the road and the access is very easy.

In addition to the classic sport climbing routes, some trad routes were added 2023 and onward. The crag is an excellent place for experienced climbers looking for a challenge. Piruntädinkallio is not the best place for families, the terrain is demanding and access to anchors is not the easiest. Experience is a necessity for a safe climbing session.

History

Jouni Rantanen and Jouni Nordman made the first routes in 2007 and continued the work in the years to come. Now Kristian and Perttu have made an effort to develop the crag further.
