Description

Climbing in Ørsdalen is solely on granite or gneiss. The rock is generel pretty good quality and varies from smooth crimps to rough holds (specially on the boulders with slopers.)

It is very important that you have a clear permission from the locals to climb when the boulders is located on farmland.

Theres are a lot potential for further development of the area. Make sure to ask for permission from the locals when venturing in the wildernes or farms looking for new boulders specially when you might be trespassing farmland.

The area is still under development, but has great potential for new lines both at the farm and on the hill at kyrkjesteinen.

The area is access sensitive!

The boulders at the farmground is not allowed to be climbed unless you have permission from the owner of the farm. Make sure to ask and then threat the area with respect. Same permission is required for parking and the entrance of the drive in to the farm.

The boulders at the hillside is access via the bridge which is located right at "Brostenen". There are small trails to most boulders and is most often the easiest approach. Parking is located at nearby farm. Be sure to ask permission for parking at the nearby residens.

Otherwise parking a bit limited and the parking marked when crossing the bridge or at the lake is the other solutions.
