Located 20 minutes past the Flatanger cave, Oppvarmingsveggen "The warm-up wall" sees little traffic these days. However the wall is actually quite nice for what it is, that is to say a mainly trad focused wall with nice cracks in great rock. It`s a very quiet and picturesque sector facing southwest. It gets lots of sun and dries quickly with it`s high and exposed location that often gets a breeze. These factors gives it a fairly long season and as long as there is some wind make it a good option even in the heat of summer.
The terrain below the wall is somwhat rocky and the gear not always great or super easy to find making it less then ideal for beginners, tho for those climbing in the 6-th grade (french) it might very well be worth a visit, if nothing else to get away from the buzy cave and enjoy a quiet day out with a great view.
As with many of the other walls in Flatanger outside the cave itself there is still a lot of potential for more routes, both on gear and on bolts, mainly in the low to mid range grades. Camping under (or close to) the wall is also an option.
