No special access issues
The ‘normal’ approach to the sector used to involve driving along a section of the ‘old’ C-14 road behind the ‘Espluvins’ tunnel and parking very close to the start of the final approach path. This section of road always had a no entry sign at the beginning and officially vehicular access was not permitted, but the authorities apparently turned a blind eye where climbers were concerned. However, road works are currently being carried out on this stretch of the ‘old’ road, meaning it’s impossible to drive your car along it. Therefore we are describing a new (hopefully temporary) approach to the crag. From Oliana drive northwards on the C 14 for approximately 8km, passing through a series of road tunnels. The nearest ‘temporary’ parking place for the sector is the northern end of the section of old road behind the ‘Obaga Negra’ tunnel (P3). From here, continue on foot, first along the side of the C-14 and then right onto the ‘old’ road behind the ‘Espluvins’ tunnel. The start of the final approach path is located approximately 1.2km from P3 (blue arrow painted on the road where it starts). Follow the well-marked footpath up a steep gully to the base of the sector (25 minutes from P3).
