HOW TO GET THERE

DRIVE
Main Entrance Parking
From Cape Town, get onto the N2 and then M3. Continue on the M3 for about 3.6km until you see the 'Newlands Fire Base' sign on the right situated on the middle barrier of the freeway. Follow this into the parking area beneath the trees.

Note: Click on a boulder named "Leftfield - Paths Map". This will bring up a picture of the paths and landmarks that are mentioned in the approach description below. With all the tree cover it is difficult to draw in paths on the MAP, so we found this a better option. Please note that the paths map is not perfect and there will be minor mistakes here and there, which will be corrected over time.

APPROACH: 15 mins
From the parking, follow the tar road up past the heli-pad on the right and then left onto 1. Continue on 1 for about 10 mins until passing over Bridge B (cement bridge) and take the stone steps (1a) a little further up the road on the right. Follow the steps to a T-junction and turn left, continue on and at the next junction this time continue over the path and up the slope for about 50m to find the well camouflaged Leftfield Boulder.
To reach the Little Bleau Boulder – at the second junction follow the path left for about another 50m to find Little Bleau about 50m up on the slopes on the right side of the path.
