Napoleonica is a beautiful and easily reachable crag situated on and around a sea boulevard. This sunny crag is very popular among the local climbers and is definitely worth visiting! There's hundreds of routes to choose from and especially the routes on the boulevard have extremely easy approach.
The rock is limestone and mostly vertical with small holds and technical moves. The length of the routes is usually below 30m. The oldest sectors are the ones on the boulevard and some of them are polished. On the sea-side of the boulevard lies the newer sectors which offer much better friction. If you prefer overhangs and stalactites, the Mano di Fatima and Grotta del cane sectors offer some powerful routes.
As most of the sectors are south-facing this is a great crag for climbing throughout winter. In summers it often gets too warm unless you go very early in the morning or late in the evening. Thanks to the easy access and mostly flat terrain, Napoleonica works great with children.
Besides the sport climbing that's marked on the topos, you can also do long boulder traverses on the low part of the crag on the boulevard!
