No special access issues
33km(28min) from Kuusamo. Go north from Kuusamo on Kemijärventie/E63. After 8km turn left to Rovaniementie/Reitti 81. Then after 21km turn right to Jäkäläniementie. Then after 2,5 km parking is on right side. There`s a big parking spot for the naturetrail(luontopolku) that fits 15-20 cars. It`s just an open space so park in a way that you don`t block the entrance or someone elses way.
From the parking follow the marked trail(luontopolku) - red paint marks on trees etc. - for 250 roughly towards east. Then you reach a wide and even forest machine trail/road. Turn right to follow it up the hill for 350-400 meters. Then turn right(south) onto a faint forest machine trail to go even higher up on the hill. There`s several trails going left(north) and right(south) from the wide road/trail. Pick the one that seems to go straight north towards Vako boulder. Once you get near the summit you enter a clear-cut area and you should start seeing rocks here and there. Most of the boulders should be to your left(east), but Vako boulder might be in front or right. It`s fairly easy to move around since you can see far around you in the open area. The biggest concentration of rocks is just off the clear-cut area in a loose forest towards east.
