Moretti is a summer climbing destination in the Repubblica di San Marino, popular among local climbers for its easy access, friendly atmosphere, and approachable routes.
The area is divided into several closely grouped sectors:
• Vecchio, the largest sector, features 35 technical routes ranging from 5b to 6c+, mainly on vertical limestone faces.
• Balconcino is a small spot with just two lines: a 6b+ and a beautiful 7b that runs on tufas.
• Nuovo offers 15 routes from 5b to 7c+, with a more bouldery style and occasional overhangs, perfect for those who enjoy powerful moves.
The rock throughout Moretti is solid limestone, offering a mix of sharp crimps, pockets, and cracks. Protections are reliable, the approach is short, and the base of the crag is flat and comfortable, ideal for families with children.
Best conditions are found in summer and during the mid-seasons, though in the warmer months it's wise to watch out for mosquitos and ticks.

Moretti è una falesia estiva nella Repubblica di San Marino, molto apprezzata dagli arrampicatori della zona per la facilità di accesso, l’atmosfera accogliente e le vie alla portata di tutti.
L’area è suddivisa in diversi settori, vicini tra loro:
• Vecchio, il settore più grande, offre 35 vie tecniche dal 5b al 6c+, principalmente su placche verticali di calcare.
• Balconcino è un piccolo settore con solo due tiri: un 6b+ e un bellissimo 7b su canne.
• Nuovo propone 15 vie dal 5b al 7c+, con uno stile più boulderoso e qualche strapiombo, perfetto per chi ama movimenti più fisici.
La roccia è solido calcare in tutti i settori, caratterizzato da tacche affilate, buchi e fessure. Le protezioni sono affidabili, l’avvicinamento è breve e la base della falesia è comoda e pianeggiante, ideale anche per famiglie con bambini.
Le condizioni migliori si trovano in estate e nelle mezze stagioni, anche se nei mesi più caldi è bene prestare attenzione a zanzare e zecche.
