Hike from the Red Springs Picnic Area parking lot up the steep hill directly south. Once over the hill the trail splits, stay to the right, hiking down to where the trail divides again. Head down hill this time vearing right until you reach this striking feature of rock known as "Side Effects"(5.10b) Classic 4 star route
